Yazidi refugees in Sinjar need urgent help after a heavy snowfall

54ad56b06.jpg

Heavy snowstorm brings down UN IDP-tents in KAR and Sinjar, Northern Iraq, leaving Yezidi refugees out in the cold.

Yezidis, who have been living in UN IDP-camps after the genocide committed by Islamic State (IS) in 2014, seek urgent humanitarian aid after harsh snowfall last night.

The snowstorm blocked all roads from and to the camps. Many tents were destroyed by the harsh weather circumstances and weights of snow, because these UN IDP-tents were unable to withstand this harsh weather situation.

NL Helpt Yezidis team is in contact with people who have been affected and will cooperate with other NGO's in the region to provide help.

Please donate and help these innocent people.
