of an unforgettable story.
Wahhab Hassoo, een gevluchte Yezidi tiener, inspireerde ons destijds tot de oprichting van de Stichting. Hij woont sinds 2012 met zijn familie (vader, moeder, een zus en twee broers) in Nederland. Wahhab is een bijzondere en getalenteerde jonge man.
Terwijl veel van zijn klasgenoten zich op de middelbare school druk maken over uitgaan, huiswerk en de nieuwste smartphone, werkt hij zich – buiten schooltijd – in het zweet om kleding en middelen in te zamelen voor vluchtelingen in Koerdische regio in Noord-Irak en probeert hij via de media aandacht te vragen voor de situatie in zijn thuisland.

NOTARIAL DEED
If you have your periodic donation recorded by the notary in a notarial deed, you can donate more while it costs you less. You can then deduct the total amount from the tax. There is no threshold and no maximum for a notarial deed, which is the case if you make individual donations.

You can deduct the entire amount from the tax, in contrast to individual gifts for which a threshold (1%) and a maximum (10% of your taxable income) apply;
The tax authorities pay 42% of your donation;
You make a structural contribution, so that refugees can receive structural, permanent help.
